CSO commends Gov Mohammed Abubakar on education

Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has been commended for his various intervention programmes in the education sector.A Civil Society Organisation known as ‘Congress of Nigerian Eligible Voters made the commendation yesterday during a solidarity rally to the governor in Bauchi at the government house.

The leader of the Congress, Comrade John Ngene Offia said that education programmes introduced by the governor such as schools renovation, employment of more teachers, provision of free feeding for primary pupils, provision of motor bikes to education supervisors in the state as well as the construction of residential quarters for teachers would motivate the teaching staff and revamp the sector.

“We are aware that the free education introduced by your administration is saving parents N2 billion annually. Likewise, the removal of hidden fees and levies has helped parents to enrol more children into school”.
