COVID-19: Bauchi State records 1 death, total now 12

Bauchi – Bauchi State has recorded another death as a result of COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 12.
This figure was contained in the COVID-19 update from the state Ministry of Health Situation Room made public in Bauchi on Thursday.

The state had earlier recorded 11 deaths.
According to the update, as at Wednesday, six new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 488.
The ministry of health further disclosed that one COVID-19 patient was discharged after testing negative for the virus twice.
It also stated the number of discharged cases so far was 371 while the cases were 105.

While the case fatality rate in the state is 2.4 per cent, there is no severe case on admission, according to the ministry.
It further stated that the total number of samples taken so far was 3,194 with 34 pending.
The ministry urged the citizens to keep adhering strictly to all the preventive measures enumerated by government and health experts so as to prevent community transmission of the virus in the state.
