Computer firm partners Enugu to shore-up earnings

Shareholders of Computer Warehouse Group Plc are in for better returns on their investments with more fresh openings for the company, the latest being Information Technology provision deal with the Enugu State Government.
CWG, leading Information Technology infrastructure integration services provider in Sub-Saharan Africa, is in s latest contract deal with the Enugu State Government, South East Nigeria,
a partnership that will see the IT firm transforming the state’s gaming commission (ESGC) by creating online solutions for the automation of the online gaming lottery.
The information released on Wednesday, by the Nigerian Stock Exchange,(NSE) shows new earnings’ opportunities that would further increase expectations of stakeholders; and may further rub-off on the company’s stocks.
The Daily Times Nigeria gathered that, through a document signed by the Business Director, CWG, Adewale Adeyipo, it explained that the lottery, which comprises of casino games, sports betting, various promotions, lottery
and lotto has been estimated to generate N5 billion per day in Nigeria, and the Enugu State Government is tapping into the huge money spinner through CWG’s satisfied infrastructure.
According to the report, “Enugu state government has seized the opportunities presented by the use of technology to drive its transformation agenda, as it provides an unprecedented avenue to streamline the state activities in the said sector and ensure protection of investors, operators and consumers.”
The deal stipulated that CWG is engaged for its technological know-how in integrating solutions, whivh will aid operational automation and the affairs of the ESGC; and may lead to close working relationship between the parties in executing the contracts.
Group CEO, CWG Plc., James Agada, earlier in a statement said that the partnership with Enugu State falls neatly in line with the company’s strategic intent; and it fits into its new business model, which is focused on solving problems and creating value for partners and stakeholders.
He said that CWG Plc would bring to bear, its 25years’ experience in building systems, automating processes and the ability to create value for its partners and shareholders.
