Cleric tasks leaders to serve nation with fear of God

has urged Nigerian leaders and citizens to serve the nation faithfully with the fear of God.
Ajetunmobi said this at a special thanksgiving service in honour of the 41th Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Ogungunso I, at St Davis Cathedral, Kudeti Ibadan.
He advised the Olubadan to imbibe the wisdom of King Solomon as he ascended the throne and also build his foundation on the fear of God.
The cleric said that King Solomon in the Bible did not ask for riches or longevity when he ascended his father’s throne, rather he asked for wisdom to rule his people.
He said the Olubadan must also ask for wisdom from God in order to rule the people of Ibadanland so as to surpass his predecessors.
The Bishop also urged the Olubadan to keep God’s commandments and allow God to direct his path.
The Olubadan, in his remark, thanked the people of Ibadan for their support during his coronation, and promised to make Ibadan a better place for all and sundry.
He said that one thing he sought from God was to ensure that peace and stability reign in his time as the 41th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Adetunji said that all hands must be on deck to ensure the peace and stability of Ibadanland, irrespective of religion.
Present at the occasion were former governor of Oyo State Sen. Rasidi Ladoja, Sen. Femi Lanleyin, former senator Oyo Central Senatorial District.
The others were members of the Olubadan in-councils, members of the Ibadan Elders’ Forum and some members of the central Council of Ibadan Indigenes.
