Centre to give 150 students’ grants on financial inclusion research

Grooming Centre has said it is offering grants to 150 undergraduate and postgraduate students to facilitate research in the areas of financial inclusion and enterprise development.
In a statement signed by the Technical Committee Chairman of Grooming grant project Centre, Mr Alex Ajibo, he disclosed that, the research must be relevant to the Nigerian context, environment and situation focused in enterprise development, including but not limited to inclusive finance, poverty alleviation, community development and sustainability.
According to him, the grants is open to undergraduates and postgraduates from accredited Nigerian universities, and entries will close on September 4, 2019.
“Applicants must be students of NUC approved Nigerian universities or NBTE accredited polytechnics., undergraduate applicants must currently be in year three to final year for universities, a minimum of 2 recommendations from their institutions lecturers, one of which would serve as a referee to the candidate.”
He further stressed that, “the research must show high sense of originality and imaginative thoughts.The application must be submitted with an initial proposal of not more than three pages as well as the candidate’s personal profile signed off by the academic supervisor.”
“About 100 undergraduates will receive the sum of N75,000 each, while 50 postgraduates will receive N150,000 each” he said.; this is an initiative that will get better as we progress.”he said.
