Burnley extend Phil Bardsley’s contract for another year

Burnley defender Phil Bardsley has officially extended his contract at the club for an additional year, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
Bardsley’s current deal was set to expire at the end of June and now he will remain at the club until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The 34-year-old joined Burnley in the summer of 2017 from Stoke City and has since made 53 appearances for the club and counting.

Bardsley becomes the sixth player to be handed a new deal since the end of the 2018/19 season.
He joins Nick Pope, Charlie Taylor, Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes and Robbie Brady to have committed to next season and beyond, with midfielder Ashley Westwood also extending his deal until June 2021.
