Buhari’s victory: Supporters kill 4 in Nasarawa

Consequence upon declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of last Saturday’s presidential election, All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters in Nasarawa state have mowed down four people in the State.

Jubilation started in Lafia the state capital at the early hours of last Wednesday as President Mohammed Buhari supporters barricaded major roads in Lafia in the likes of Makurdi Road, UAC Road and Layin Kaji Road where two people, suspected to be Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), supporters were killed and two others killed in Karu local government area of the state.

The APC, supporters were seen carrying boxes on their head in the guise that they were escorting the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku, to Adamawa, while others designed a casket with PDP inscription and chanting songs in Hausa language like: “PDP sai mun kai ta kasa'”

At Akwanga town, APC boys blocked the only round about leaving some motorists stranded as commuters who are travelling to other parts of the country lamented of being delayed.

This created panicked in the minds of residents of the state and most traveller that passed through the state capital, knowing that Nigeria hardly comes out of an election without post election violence.

Efforts to confirm the incident from the Nasarawa State Command of Nigeria Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), ASP Ismaila Usman, was not successful at press time, as he said: “I am not handy with the information but would get back to you”.
