BREAKING: Senate Set Up Committee To Probe Maina

The Senate has commenced investigation of the circumstances surrounding the return of embattled ex-Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, and his reinstatement into the civil service
Embattled ex-Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, is a man in the eye of the storm.
24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered his sack from the civil service, the Senate has commenced investigation into his re-absorption.
The lawmakers at the plenary on Tuesday took turns to condemn those in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, who they said were rubbishing the anti-corruption campaign of the government.
They asked why someone who absconded from service as assistant director could be discreetly reinstated as director.
Meanwhile the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday stormed a mansion allegedly belonging to the wanted Abdulrasheed Maina.
Maina was dismissed in 2013 by the Federal Civil Service Commission following a recommendation by the Office of the Head of Service.
He was accused of massive pension fraud scheme amounting to more than N100billion.
Maina has been on EFCC’s wanted list for about two years, prompting the anti-graft agency to declare him wanted on its website.
