The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the release of two tourists who were abducted on Saturday evening along the Ibadan-Akure route.
SP Yemisi Opalola, the Osun Police spokesperson, made the announcement on Tuesday.
The release of the two abductees, a driver and a commuter, kidnapped along the Ibadan/Akure road on Saturday was reportedly secured by the police and other security agencies.

One survivor was released early Monday morning, while the other was released early Tuesday morning, DailyTimes gathered.
The abductees were released as a result of pressure applied by the police and other security forces to the abductors, according to the police, who also said that “no money was charged” as a ransom.
