Boko Haram: Troops kills 6 Insurgents

The Nigerian Army said it killed six terrorists in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State during an operation to dislodge the remnant of Boko Haram insurgents in the state.
Heightened counter-terrorism operations in the northeast have led to the death of 6 suspected terrorists, the military said on Wednesday.
Spokesman for the Army, Brigadier General Sani Usman, said on Wednesday that the insurgents were killed on Monday by troops of the Operation Lafia Dole.
“Troops of 22 Brigade Dikwa under 7 Division of Operation Lafia Dole in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), ambushed suspected Boko Haram terrorists between Bulabirin and Mongole villages in the area.
“During the encounter, the troops neutralised 6 terrorists, while several others sustained various degrees of injuries,” the statement revealed.
The troops also recovered 6 bicycles, 3 dane guns and 1 machete from the insurgents.
He reiterated the commitment of the Nigerian Army to sustaining the tempo and clearing unrepentant Boko Haram insurgents from the shores of Nigeria.
This is coming just as the military is asking members of the Boko Haram to surrender to avoid humiliating death.
The call for surrender was contained in another statement by Usman.http://news.bounce.ng/Content/toops-kill-6-boko-haram-terrorists-in-borno-20170809
