Bogoro’s re-instatement not a surprise – Unimaid VC

Vice Chancellor of University of Maiduguri, Professor Abubakar Njodi, has said that the re-instatement of Prof. Suleiman Bogoro as the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund) did not come as a surprise to Nigerians. Prof. Njodi, who stated this when Prof Bogoro received him in his office in Abuja, noted that his recall to serve at the fund again by President Muhammadu Buhari is a confirmation of the confidence Nigerians have in his administrative and managerial acumen. The vice chancellor said that Unimaid is proud of the executive eecretary’s re-instatement being an alumnus of the university and as such the institution will continue to support him in any way possible. Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund), Professor Suleiman Bogoro over the weekend received in his office a delegation from the University of Maiduguri led by its vice chancellor. In a release signed by the Director, Public Affairs of the Fund, Dr. Jacob Alada, the vice chancellor said the purpose of the courtesy call was to congratulate Professor Bogoro on his recent re-instatement as the executive secretary of TETfund. In his response, the executive secretary thanked the vice chancellor and contended that the size of the delegation not only made him emotional, but also evoked a feeling of nostalgia remembering his days as a student at the university. The highly elated executive secretary stated that he has come back with a renewed vigour to relentlessly serve the fund and the country at large. He assured the vice chancellor of his continued support to the university within the ambit of the law in order to ensure that the institution continues with its excellent performance in the utilization of intervention funds. He commended the vice chancellor and his management team for their promptness in accessing their yearly allocations, a feat which he noted many of the beneficiary institutions are still struggling with.
