AT&T set to acquire Time Warner for $85bn

A major communications and media deal could be signed and delivered in the next two days.
Telecommunications giant AT&T has agreed to a $85 billion price to buy media producer Time Warner, according to Reuters.

Reuters reported that most terms are settled and the final agreement could come as early as Sunday.
Combining telecommunications with content is the logical step as more of the traditional cable television industry sees its business slip away to online services.
