Arsenal veteran goalie Petr Cech to retire at end of season

Legendary Arsenal and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has announced he will retire from football at the conclusion of the Premier League season after a glittering 15-year career in England’s top flight. In a statement released through his social media accounts on Tuesday, the 36-year-old said he felt he had achieved everything in the game and was ready to hang up the gloves. “This is my 20th season as a professional player and it has been 20 years since I signed my first professional contract, so it feels like the right time to announce that I will retire at the end of this season,” Cech said. “Having played 15 years in the Premier League, and won every single trophy possible, I feel like I have achieved everything I set out to achieve.
