Army Rescues 30 Boko Haram Hostages

Among the rescued hostages are three men, 12 women and 15 children. They were held captive by the Boko Haram terrorists in a remote area.
They had wondered where their help would come from and who would be their messiah.
Days turned to weeks and weeks to months. These people were cut-off from reality and they wished someone out there would hear their cry.
The Nigerian Army says it has rescued 30 hostages and neutralized 14 suspected Boko Haram terrorists.
The Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman said troops of 202 Battalion of 21 Brigade Nigerian Army in conjunction with elements of Mobile Strike Teams (MSTs) on Operations Lafiya Dole became the long awaited messiahs.
On Saturday 25th November 2017, the security operative cleared Boko Haram enclaves in Abusuriwa, Newchina, Bonzon, Usmanari, Goyayeri, Shitimari, Gashimari and Awaram in Bama Local Government Area, Borno state.
Among the rescued hostages are three men, 12 women as well as 15 children – among those set free were an aged man and woman who looked rather frail.
“Troops were also able to recover 4 AK-47 Rifles, 3 Magazines, 7 Dane guns and Machetes, amongst other items,” Usman said in a statement on Tuesday.
