Armed Forces Remembrance Day: ANSAA boss calls for recruitment of youths in forces

The Managing Director, Anambra State Advertising Agency (ANSAA), Chief Jude Emechetta, has urged Federal Government to recruit young men and women with dedication into the Nigerian Army.

Emechetta observed that the men and women in the forces contributed to territorial security of the country and warding off foreign invasion.

He said this while addressing journalists in Awka to commemorate the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

The ANSAA boss harped on the need for Federal Government to adequately equip the armed forces of the nation to fight to annihilate Boko Haram, kidnapping and all forms of banditry.

He also pleaded with Federal Government to cater for security men, especially the ex-servicemen, who patriotically served their fatherland with passion.

“From observation, some ex-servicemen are neglected. Their welfare is paramount. Those still in service should also be provided with necessary logistics.

“We should always pray for them because of the selfless services they render to the nation.

“Sometimes, they abandon their families for the service of the nation: in the process, some die, leaving their families behind,’’ Emechetta said.
