This was made known on Wednesday, during the Party’s NWC meeting at the National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja.
The Party National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, commended the Governor Otu led Primary Election Committee for delivering a fair, credible and transparent election.

Presenting the Party’s Certificate of Return to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, winner of the last weekend Primary election and emerging as the party flag bearer in the Governorship election, Dr Ganduje charged all stakeholders, particularly the other aspirants and their supporters to work for the Party’s victory in the November 8, 2025 State election.
Speaking with journalists after the presentation, Ukachukwu said the incumbent Government in the State, led by Prof Charles Soludo is not sellable and that is why, he is running to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for support.
When asked about Governor Soludo’s comments regarding support from the Presidency, the APC candidate said: “There is nothing like that. Our President is a Party man to the core. He can not fall, and he will not fall. And he has not decided to, and he will never.
“If APGA is sellable without the center, why are they begging the centre? Why is he relying on the President for Presidential support? What is popularity to win, if he is popular,” he queried.
“Soludo has not presented himself for election. This is the first time he is contesting for an election. Obiano, during his days as Governor, joined us and together, we supported Soludo to win.
“That was how he won. This is the first time he is presenting himself to Anambra people, to vote for him as a person. And now, we want to know whether he is popular or not. Don’t forget Chinwo Mbadiniju did one term as Governor, what stops Soludo.”
On those who left the APC as a result of the process that produced him, he said: ”Even the person that is holding the People’s Democratic Party, PDP ticket in Anambra, was a former All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, member, so, if somebody has left APC, somebody has also left APGA, too. It is not new,” he added.
