APC chieftain lauds Buhari on B’Haram ‘defeat’
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta state, Chief Nduka Ogwuda, has paid glowing tributes to President Muhammadu Buhari for the outright dismantling of the dreaded Boko Haram sect in the North East, describing it as a historic feat that has brought an end to the insurgency in the region.
Chief Ogwuda, equally commended the armed forces, especially the troops of “Operation Lafia Dole”, for their uncommon patriotism and sacrifice in rescuing the nation from criminally minded elements whose ideology was a visible threat to the nation’s security, particularly in the North East.
The APC chieftain noted that with the total decimation of the ranks of the dreaded terrorist group, insurgency has been wiped out to a very large extent, while peace and normalcy have gradually returned to the areas that were affected by the destruction orchestrated by the insurgents.
Chief Ogwuda expressed optimism that the APC led Federal Government of President Muhammadu Buhari will do all within its powers to rebuild the infrastructure that was destroyed in the wake of the insurgency, adding that with the soon to be passed North East Development Commission Bill, the region will witness unprecedented turn around in its fortunes.
He also commended President Muhammadu Bahari for giving the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, free hand to run the Oil and Gas sector.
The APC chieftain while lauded the President stated that by this singular action, President Buhari has in no small way aided the remarkable turn around in the Petroleum Industry by the APC led Federal Government.
While reflecting on the 2016 crisis that rocked the petroleum industry due to the action of militant groups in the oil rich Niger Delta region, Chief Ogwuda noted with delight that the pledge by Dr. Ibe Kachikwu to reposition the nation’s Oil and Gas sector with workable reforms are clearly yielding the desired dividends this years 2017.
The Delta APC chieftain while commend the Minister of State for Petroleum for being a visible catalyst in pushing forward the APC “Change” agenda in the Petroleum sector, pledged the continuous support of the state chapter of the APC to continually support Dr. Kachikwu’s tour of duty at the Federal Executive Council.
He therefore called on all Aniomas, and indeed Deltans to give the Petroleum Minister the needed moral support to succeed, describing Dr. Ibe Kachikwu as an accomplished technocrat and critical key player in the nation’s oil and gas sector.
