APC aspirant drags Gov Bello, party to court
An All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant in Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger state, Zubairu Mohammed Badamasi has concluded plans to drag his party and the governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello to court over omission of names and pictures in the ballot paper.
Badamasi briefed newsmen in Minna on Tuesday after all efforts by the aspirant through due process failed to yield result as the acclaimed government candidate was given the flag of the party for the forthcoming local government elections in Minna, on Monday.
Badamasi, whose name and picture was said to be omitted deliberately from the primary election ballot papers which he had officially wrote to the party secretariat from ward, local government, and state secretariats, but nothing was done about his complaint till date said that such action was violating his human rights despite his successful certified screening by the party.
He intimated that APC was harbouring mischief makers who insisted on a particular aspirant despite the governor’s public saying he has no anointed candidate for the said election.
