Angry Mob Lynch Suspected Lesbian To Death As Fleeing Lover Goes Into Hiding
Tragedy reportedly struck in a remote community in Delta State when angry mob allegedly lynched to death a lesbian young woman later identified as Nwadike Joy after she was purportedly caught in the sacrilegious act of same-sex with her lover known as Oputa Gloria Chiejina.
On February 16th 2025, Nwadike Joy and her lover Oputa Gloria Chiejina were reportedly caught in a lonely corner of a street in their community fondling and caressing each other by a group of youths in the community who unknown to them were returning a football game in the community only for them to emerge from another end of the lonely street and reportedly caught them in the sacrilegious act.
The angry youths were said to have immediately rounded up the 2 women who were ruthlessly beaten up as dangerous weapons including planks were violently used on the 2 girls.
Both girls during the mob attack were accused of desecrating the community as the angry youths were later heard chanting “sacrilege and abomination in our community, the wrath of the gods has been invoked upon us ” as they continued to unleash more terror on the 2 women.
However, as the angry youths continued to vent their violent anger on both women, Oputa Gloria Chiejina was said to have managed to escape when a cross-section of the youths suddenly engaged in wild arguments and suddenly became distracted as others came with tyres and gasoline to set the 2 women ablaze but for the timely intervention of the community leader who was immediately invited.
While the distraction momentarily created by the mob lasted, it instantly provided a rare opportunity for Oputa Gloria Chiejina to escape while her partner Nwadike Joy was still lying unconsciously on the ground in her own pool of blood as tension increasingly heightened in the community, it was gathered.
The angry mob was said to have reportedly
gone after Oputa Gloria Chiejina immediately they noticed her sudden escape as it was gathered that policemen on patrol were later invited to douse the tension while the corpse of Nwadike Joy was later deposited at the local mortuary.
Meanwhile, confirmed reports from a cross-section of the community revealed that Oputa Gloria Chiejina reportedly fled from the community after receiving urgent medical treatment for bodily injuries sustained during the mob attack while concerted efforts were later made to apprehend and arrest her in the community.
