Nigeria assistant coach Daniel Amokachi has revealed that he and his technical team will continue working on striker Aaron Samuel, who failed to make the desired impact in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with South Africa on Sunday.
The burly 20-year-old was handed a start by Amokachi, but was pulled off after 66 minutes after what was a disappointing display.
“He is a decent player. When a player is in the team he tries to do a lot of different stuff. Some players like to play with some certain players,” said Amokachi.
“He is a young player, a very good player. He is someone we will keep coaching and counseling and let him know the right way to play as a number nine. Push when you need to push and score the goals.”
