Ambode expands commerce Eastward, Westward

Governor Akinwumi Ambode, on Tuesday, said every nook and cranny in Lagos should be livable and economically viable as this would reduce the whole idea of urban slum.

The Governor said this when he inspected 25 network of roads linking Epe, Ikoodu, Ijebu Ode and Lekki axis. He also inspected the site where Epe Marina will be situated, which would be a replication of Dubai Marina.

Ambode was impressed with the job being done on the roads, and said that the quality of roads met international standard as the roads and would boost the economy of the state, especially tourism. He said the creation of Epe Marina would stretch two kilometres of real estate and tourism along the costal lines.

Commissioner for works and Infrastructure, Engineer Ganiyu Johnson, during the inspection said the network of roads was a 30-kilometre standard road, which was the backbone of Lekki Free Trade zone, deep sea ports and proposed airport.
