Allawa Community came under attack again by bandits

The people of Allawa Community of Shiroro Local Government of Niger State scampered for safety in the early hours of Thursday as bandits in their large numbers took over the area in unprovoked attacks.

The incidents according to a local, Haruna Musa Umar, President, Shiroro youths Development Forum (SYDF), the bandits stormed the village at 2 am with almost 200 motorcycles.

They bunt down military vehicles, but the casualty figures not ascertained as the locals scamper for safety as at the of filling in the report.

In another development, it was tears and grief for the people of Shiroro local government Lakpma axis, as bandits ransacked the communities for five hours without challenge.

On three separate occasions, the armed bandits in their hundreds targeted three communities which comprised of Manta, Gurmana, and Bassa wards respectively.

They were about 100 on a motorbike, each bike carried a passenger and they all carried AK-47 Guns.

According to witnesses during the invasion, they killed one Alhaji Sale in Madalla community under Bassa ward and kidnapped four people, and do away with two motorcycles.

Also in Kokki Boddo a community under Gurmana ward, they abducted six person and took away five motorcycles, five people were also kidnapped in Manta ward.

The attacks on the people of Shiroro Local government Lapkma axis continues, as no day passed by without report of attacks on innocent citizens by arm bandits.

The President of the Shiroro Youth movement, Mallam Mohammed Sanni Idris has, therefore “made a passionate appeal to the government at all level especially the federal and state to double up their effort in rescuing the lives of our hapless communities”.
