Ajimobi, AlaoAkala Go Spiritual Ahead Poll
Ahead of April 11 election, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator AbiolaAjimobi, and his Labour Party counterpart,Otunba Adebayo AlaoAkala, have gone spiritual for victory at the polls.
A survey carry out in Ibadan reveals that most churches and mosque have been contacted by all the gubernatorial candidates, but prominent among them were AlaoAkala and Ajimobi.
It was also learnt that some of the churches have receive car and cash gifts from some of the aspirants: “GovernorAjimobi gave our church new bus before the presidential election and that is why we were told to pray for his victory at the poll, because he also promised to support us financially,” said a woman who attends a church located around Kilometre 110 alongOdoOna-Apata Road, in Ibadan.
Another source said AlaoAkala’s wife had been moving from one church to the other praying and mobilising people to pray for her husband’s victory at the poll. She attends vigils and prayers as well.
Other candidates have also been running around in preparation for the election.
