Agbama community, estate plead with Ikpeazu over roads

Agbama community and residents of Agbama Housing estate in Umuahia, Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State has drawn the attention of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to the poor network of roads in the community and erosion problem plaguing the area.

Speaking at the Government House, Umuahia, recently, when they paid a courtesy call on the Governor Ikpeazu, the Secretary, Agbama Housing Estate Residents Neighbourhood Association, Chukwuemeka Omoji, appealed to the governor to provide the estate with transformers in view of the explosion in population in the estate.

Also speaking, the Agbama Olokoro community in Umuahia South LGA, led by Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, expressed their dissatisfaction with the slow progress of work on the Agbama Olokoro ring road in Umuahia South LGA and pleaded with Ikpeazu to urge the contractor to expedite action.
The executive chairman, Umuahia South LGA, Prince Obioma Eze Ogbulafor, and the Chairman, Umuahia South Traditional Rulers Council, Eze G. C Onwuka, thanked the Governor for doing a lot for Agbama people and appealed to him to continue to listen to their plea.

The Governor said he was committed to the provision of better life for Agbama people through the provision of amenities like street light and security and thanked the Agbama people for their support for him during the election and enjoined them to continue to support their leader, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, as well as their LGA chairman, Prince Obioma Eze Ogbulafor.
To that end, he directed the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, to scale the road with a view to determining the extent of work left and how to complete the job without further delay.
