Adamawa govt moves to ease effects of flooding

The Adamawa state government deliberated on ways to mitigate the effects of flooding disaster in the State. The discussion took place at an extra ordinary extended council meeting, where all senior civil servants, political appointees converged at the Banquet Hall, government house Yola.

The secretary to State Government, Dr Umar Bindir said the essence of the meeting was to brainstorm with stakeholders on how to avert any impending danger of by flood and how they will in turn convey the message back to the grass root people.

He listed the agenda of the meeting to include: flooding situation in Adamawa, security and political developments in the state.
