Mammoth Crowd in Ogbomoso as Akala Takes Campaign to Hometown

It was a great day for the campaign train of Otunba Alao Akala campaign organization in Ogbomoso as thousands of people took to the street in solidarity for Alao Akala re-election campaign which storm Ogbomoso North and south local government.

The carnival like campaign which started at about 9:30 am took the campaign train round the communities in Ogbomoso North and South Local government area

The excited crowd who form a long convoy of both vehicle and motorcycles stretch about 2 kilometres making every nook and crannies of the second largest city full of activities and forming a serious traffic gridlock which lasted for hours.

Apart from moving round the major streets of Ogbomoso, the campaign train also visited markets which includes, Araada, oja Akande, Arowomole, Kara, attenda meet market, Oja Titun, Sabo Wazobia market Oja Igbo among others.

Speaking at the Oja igbo where the crowd converge, the former governor who was obviously excited said ” I have said it several time that Ogbomoso people will never let me down, my people knows who and what they want and this is a demonstration of the fact that they are in full support of our political move”.

” I am passionate about my town and its growth its crucial to me and that is why I did what I did when I was. In power and I promise to do more both in Ogbomoso, Ibadan and other part of the state if re-elected”.

Otunba Alao Akala also assured the people of Oyo state that he is to run an all round development that will make life better and sundry, ” I will put an end to the suffering of the people, I will restore the government that pay salary as at when due, I will be run a government that will listen to people and not the one that will impose projects on people without due consultation”

At the Onisapa of Isalapa Oba Adewumi Amodu Palace, Alao Akala said he will give the traditional institution their due regard and accorded them their rightful place in the government.

The onisapa in his response said ” we enjoy your tenure as governor and ever since you left we have cease to be enjoying what we enjoy why you are there, everybody regretted the. Way you were rigged out in2011 and we are hopeful that you are coming back as governor of the state to make us happy.

Speakers at the town hall including the Labour Party chairman, Hon Gbenga Olayemi, former commissioner for local, government, Hon Remi Odetomi Engnr. Dayo Lawal chief mrs Kemi Alao Akala , Mogaji Nureni Akanbi and others assured the people that Akala’s government will correct the wrongs of the present administration”

Remi odetomi said ” While serving in Ajimobi’s government we tried our best to let him see the reason to positively respond to the yearning of the people but rather he believe in imposing his idea without considering the impact on the people and most of this over inflated projects have no direct impact on people ”

He said further that, people of Oyo State should reject Ajimobi re-election bid so as to save the state from the economic problem which he has caused with his poor economic policies and planning.

Hundreds of member of peoples Democratic Party PDP, Accord Party, and All Progressive congress were also received into the labour party by the chairman Hon Gbenga Olayemi who assured them of equal treatment and benefit as members of the party .
