Lai Mohammed Reportedly Moves To Shut Down BBNaija – Sources

The minister of information, Lai Mohammed, is reportedly moving to shut down the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) citing a possible spread of Covid-19.

Daily Times gathered that rAmstrong Idachaba who is the acting director-general of the NBC, told senior management members that he had been directed by the minister to shut down BBNaija.

According to TheCable, “the commission was to use fears of spread of COVID-19 as the reason, citing directives from the presidential task force (PTF)”

“Mohammed reportedly wanted the letter shutting down the show to come from the NBC because of the general opinion that he is bent on sending MultiChoice Ltd, producers of the show, out of Nigeria.”

The organisers in a letter to the NBC reportedly detailed the steps they took in making sure their location was safe as well as isolating members of the House for two weeks before the commencement of the reality TV show.

Meanwhile, billionaire heiress and professional Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola otherwise known as DJ Cuppy, seemingly declared her intention to be in a housemate in this year’s much anticipated Big Brother Naija reality show.

In a tweet which comes as a rude shock to most of her fans, Cuppy said she might finally get the chance to get into the house this year, hinting a rare dream nobody would have thought she was nursing.
