Kwara kicks off roads rehabilitation

The Kwara state government is to begin the rehabilitation of roads in Ilorin, the state capital as rain subsides.
The state commissioner for Works and Transport, Alh Aro Yahaya disclosed this in Ilorin yesterday.
Yahaya noted that the weekly palliative work is in line with the preventive maintenance approach of the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed-led administration which has positioned the ninistry to address issues relating to road construction, repair and maintenance across the State.
He listed some of the roads to be rehabilitated to include: Oke Fomo, Agbo Oba, Oja Iya, Trinity, Gaa Akanbi, Oja Tuntun junction, Isale Aluko/Ita Ogunbo junction, Ojere junction, Alore-Medina- Ojuekun and Wara Osin- Baala.
He reiterated the commitment of the state government to make roads in the State motorable for users.
Yahaya said other parts of the metropolis will be addressed on a weekly basis until all affected roads are repaired.
