Gov Ayade Enacts Lottery Bill In Cross River

To improve the standard of people living in the state, Cross River State Gov. Bendict Ayade, on Thursday enacted a Lottery Bill, which he said will change the lives of the indigenes.
According to the Governor, the passing of the bill will have a huge impact on the life of the people of Calabar.
This development was disclosed by the chairman of Calabar Carnival Commission, Mr. Gabe Onah yesterday at Accra Weizo 2017, “themed” Seamless Travel in West Africa, held at the La Palm Royal Beach, Accra Ghana.
Onah said, Calabar Carnival was basically meant to fight and eliminate hunger in Cross River State and not just only for entertainment.
Onah equally commended efforts of the organiser of Accra Weizo, Mr Ikechi Ukoh for ensuring that international world is fully involved in CALABAR Carnival.
He used the platform to market his Calabar Carnival to the guest at the event. He also recalled that delegates were sent to Ghana to mirror their destination when they newly started, which to him Calabar festival is the first to integrate Nigeria.
Tourism stakeholders with diverse knowledge shared their experiences, challenges just as they maintained that the best needs to be done to enhance thrive the industry in Africa.
