3,000 new teachers inducted in Unizik

The Registrar, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN),Professor Josiah Ajiboye, has said the era of quackery in the teaching profession in Nigeria was over.
Performing the induction and oath –taking ceremony of about 3, 000 granduads of Faculty of Education of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka at the School Auditorium,the Registrar said the era of quackery has gone for good.
Professor Ajiboye , who spoke shortly after the induction, described teaching as a unique profession, saying that as nation – builders, teachers need to be well groomed to pursue their noble cause.
Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state who was represented by the State Commissioner for Education, Professor Kate Omenugha , charged the graduands to uphold the ethics of the teaching profession in accordance with International best practices.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Joseph Ahaneku, represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Professor Charles
Esimone, asked the graduands to live and practice what they have been taught in the university in order to build a better nation.
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Nkechi Esomonu, charged the graduands to use all the tools and other teaching materials to equip themselves to become great ambassadors of the University in teaching profession.
