Eaglets coach Manu paid 5 million Naira, assistant Ugbade gets 500,000 Naira

SCORE Nigeria has scooped that victorious Golden Eaglets are now all smiling to the bank, but while head coach Manu Garba has among other things cashed salaries of five million Naira, his first assistant and former Super Eagles star Nduka Ugbade took home 500,000 Naira.

Manu’s five million Naira covers his salaries for five months at a million Naira monthly.

However, Ugbade and the other assistant coaches with the team do not have a contract with the NFF and are therefore only entitled to allowances.

In in this case, they get 100,000 Naira a month and that explains the 500,000 Naira paid to Ugbade.

It was further gathered that the NFF have paid out qualification bonuses to the team who will feature in the 2019 U17 AFCON in April in Tanzania.

The players received 500,000 Naira each, while officials received double that amount.
