2019: ‘My Constituency sets up trust fund for my Aspiration’

A former legal adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bar. Chuks Okoye at the weekend, said members of the Anambra Central Senatorial District had pledged to set up a trust fund towards his interest to represent them in the National Assembly.

Okoye, who made the disclosure in a chat with newsmen in Awka, said the decision by his constituents was as a result of his credibility, integrity and wealth of experience in lawmaking.

He said the seven local government areas and 53 autonomous communities in the zone who had agreed to back his quest to represent them in the 9th Senate, said they preferred him to others eyeing the position.

In his words “The pressure on me to run for the 9th Senate has been so much that my people have decided to set up a trust fund from which the project will be executed”.
