2019 budget: Senate sets to pass Bill today

Barring last minute hitch, the Senate will today pass the 2019 Appropriation Bill.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki gave me this indication at the close of plenary last Thursday when the issue of the budget listed on the Senate procedure Order Paper was not considered.
He gave the assurance that final rectifications on the document should be done when Senators received the final copy yesterday.
The Senate Appropriation Committee had on April 17 submitted its report on the 2019 Appropriation.
Though no detail was given on the final recommendation of the Committe by its chairman, Sen. Danjuma Goje, however, Senate President Bukola Saraki stated that the report will be considered the following week as the Senate adjourned for Easter break.
On resumption of plenary Wednesday April 24, the 2019 Appropriation Bill was not discussed.
