Zamfara: Crisis looms ahead of Saturday’s bye-election – APC
The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, has accused the ruling party of deploying a dreaded outlaw team popularly known as Yan Sakai to Kaura Namoda ahead of Saturday’s state Assembly bye-election
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Yusuf Idris Gusau, APC Publicity Secretary Zamfara State to journalist in Gusau.
According to the statement, the party’s state secretary maintained that, Currently, we have seen the entrance of such miscreants into the government house and information gathered from the government house have also revealed that they are being kitted with uniforms and firearms used by members of the state government security watch group.
This is an alarming situation used by the PDP and state government machinery in their desperate move to forcefully ensure that their candidate is declared winner at the end of the election no matter who gets wounded or killed.
You may recall that the state government and the PDP had earlier tried shifting the election using insecurity as an excuse which the APC rejected.
Both the state government and the PDP are certainly not happy with the APC and with this current move of bringing in outlawed thugs, we fear for the lives and properties of our electorate and that of our party members especially in the affected local government.
It is because of this threats that we wish to alart all securiy agencies in the state in good time and to also ensure that only the core reputable security agencies especially the police, DSS and the Civil Defence Corps are involved.
