Zamfara APC congratulates Yazeed Danfulani as new Katukan Hausa, frowns at desecration of Tinubu’s billboard
The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC under the leadership of Tukur Umar Danfulani has happily congratulated Alhaji Yazeed Shehu Danfulani on the conferment of one of the most cherished titles of Katukan Hausa by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk-Umar.
The party also frowned at the recent desecration of Tinubu’s billboard in Zamfara state metropolis by a group suspected to be Zamfara Urban and Regional Planing ZUREP attempting to stir up provocation in order to promote wantocrisis ahead of the party’s congresses and the 2027 general elections.
This was contained in a statement issued by Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau, APC Publicity Secretary Zamfara State to Journalists in Gusau the state capital.
The statement read that, Honourable Yazeed Shehu Danfulani as the new Katukan Kasar Hausa has always contributed meaningfully to the Hausa community wherever he finds himself promoting unity, collectiveness and inclusion.
This title will further boost his efforts among the people wherever he is.
The party therefore wishes to highly thank His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk-Umar, the Daura Emirate and the entire Hausa community for this honour while assuring that the new Katukan Hausa will live upto the desired expectations.
We believe Hon. Yazeed’s philanthropic nature and accommodation of people will make the tittle more respectful and great within the country.
His records of hard work and honesty since when he was the commissioner of Commerce and Industries in Zamfara State up to his present position of Managing Director Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation is quite extra-ordinary.
The party expressed serious sadness over the attitude of disrespect in desecrating the campaign billboard of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu describing it as an open show of hatred towards the first citizen of the Country.
This erratic behaviour has been ongoing over time and it started with the clampdown on all APC billboards until when the party petitioned security agencies in order to stop the PDP led government from the uncultured behaviour in a peaceful manner.
However, the government and its thugs while using official machinery such as the state’s Zamfara Urban and Regional Planing ZUREP resumed the provocation in order to stir crisis ahead of the party’s congresses and the 2027 general elections.
The agency now attempted to carry out such boorishness and incivility on the President’s billboard which also reflected the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle and Distinguished Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, both former governors and leaders of the party which is installed in front of the Minister’s Gusau personal residence but for the quick intervention of security personnel attached to the residence to prevent such vandalism.
The party, once again wishes to register with and implore security agencies in the state to stop such vandalism and disrespect to the President.
