Zamfara 2019: PDP Reps candidate to presses for farmers/herdsmen solution

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives Candidate of Bungudu/Maru Federal constituency, Alhaji Shehu Ahmad has promised to pursue vigorously on the laws that would solve the lingering Farmers/Herdsmen crisis in the country.

Sparking to newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara state capital, Ahmad said that, the frequent farmers/herdsmen crisis was very strange, as long ago farmers/herdsmen have been living in peace.

According to him, farmers and herdsmen have been friends for long, “we grew up and saw our grandparents and our parents relating friendly; I see no reason for the clashes”.

Ahmad, who is also Sarkin Fulani stressed that if elected, would change the trend by ensuring that electorate have value of votes by having quality representation.

According to him, the electorate in the Bungudu/Maru federal constituency have been facing neglect, due to poor representation as most of representatives were self centred.

He noted that, the Bungudu/Maru was blessed with fertile land and forest, but yet, necessary attention was not given to them to harness the potentials properly.

He promised to bring about positive change on education through establishing more schools for nomadic.

Ahmad however, expressed worry about the spate of in security in the state, and advised for more commitment on the part of the security agencies, by expending their frontiers to rural areas.

He also urged politicians to be honest, sincere and have people at heart, “I join politics for the benefit of my constituency, I want to impact more on democracy dividends to my community”.
