Yuguda Dissolves Boards, Sacks 33 DGs

Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, on Tuesday, dissolved the boards of 20 agencies and sacked 33 directors-general.

According to a statement, the affected establishments included the state’s Muslim and Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sharia Consultative Council, Bauchi Radio Corporation, Bauchi State Television and Bauchi State Water Board, Bauchi Development Board, Bauchi State Library Board, Bauchi State Agricultural Supply Company and Bauchi State Tourism Board.

Also affected were Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency and Bauchi State Hotels Board,Yankari Transport Corporation, Bauchi State Sports Council, Poverty Alleviation Agency, BauchiFertiliser Company, Bauchi Meat Factory and AbubakarTatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, College of Education, Azare, and A.D. Rufa’i College of Legal and Islamic Studies, Misau, Interim Supervisory Council and Management Committee of the Yankari Game Reserve.

 

“Consequently, the governor has ordered that the Management of the Yankari Game Reserve be reverted to the state’s Ministry of Tourism and Culture, ” the statement added.

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the governor, on April 28, terminated the appointments of all special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants and personal assistants.
