It’s been roughly a full week since Yaya Mayweather’s shocking arrest at NBA Youngboy’s home where she allegedly took a knife to the rapper’s baby mama.
Though she’s remained relatively low key, with the exception of NBA Youngboy’s now-viral video, her mother recently chimed in on the entire situation.
In a short clip shared with Melissia Rene’s Instagram, the mother and daughter are walking hand-in-hand walking through the mall.
“Got your back FOREVER,” Rene captioned the video. It’s unclear if the video was from a recent appearance in the mall but it marks Rene’s first comments on the matter.
19-year-old daughter is facing some serious time behind bars.
Iyanna “Yaya” Mayweather was arrested earlier this month after allegedly stabbing Lapattra Jacobs, who shares a child with Mayweather’s boyfriend, YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 1:30 a.m. last Saturday, when Mayweather demanded Jacobs to leave the rapper’s Houston home.
Jacobs refused and demanded Mayweather to leave, which prompted a physical fight between the women.
The alleged victim in the case reportedly recently broke her silence on the incident on ‘Gram.
“No I am not ok Im really fucked up in the head & I hate to say it. Can y’all just leave me alone[?]” She added that she never wanted to have all this attention on her either.
The altercation resulted in Jacob’s hospitalization and Mayweather’s arrest.
Law enforcement told TMZ that the altercation moved into YoungBoy’s kitchen, where Mayweather grabbed two knives and charged at the mother.
The Blast points out that it’s unlikely she will receive the maximum sentence, as she doesn’t appear to have a criminal history.

It’s also worth noting Mayweather is being represented by Kurt Schaffer, a famed attorney who has worked for celebrities like Slim Thug, Pimp C, and Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J Prince.
The altercation resulted in Jacob’s hospitalization and Mayweather’s arrest.
