‘World economy heading towards recession’

The Chief Executive Officer of Mascot IT, an ICT firm, Agbolade Omowole, has said that the global economy may be heading towards a recession post COVID-19.
Agbolade who made this known during a two days virtual meeting held by Mascot IT with the aim to help Nigerians navigate through the storm that lies ahead courtesy of COVID-19 disclosed that Nigeria and the world at large should prepare for what lies ahead of the global pandemic.
He, therefore, noted that there is an urgent need for young people to learn new skills and update existing skills.
People should partner together to birth new online businesses to solve existing problems and build a business model around it. Abiodun Mabadeje, one of the speakers noted that e-commerce presents lots of opportunities for people who want to go into online business because it helps geographical limitations and eliminate travel time and costs.

Peace Evans on her part highlighted the importance of turning your passion into profit. Another speaker, Precious Eniayekan believes that it is not enough to turn your passion into profit. You have to build your brand online.
She pointed out that people should clearly define their brand mission and vision, and their value proposition to build their online business.
