Woman cries out as Nigerian Police Force declares son wanted over IPOB

Mother of Nwoke Chinedu Moses has cried out after her beloved son was declared wanted by the Nigerian Police Force for being a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB).

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) founded by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a sesessionist group or organization who wants to sede from Nigeria and form their own government.

This group has been declared a terrorist group and therefore proscribed by the Federal Government.

This suffice to mean that membership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is an act of terrorism of which the Nigerian law frowns upon.

It is upon this proscription of IPOB that the Nigerian Government arrested they leader and founder, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and charged him to court on office of treason and treasonable felony against the Federal Government.

Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in a bid to protest the arrest and detention of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, declared a sit-at-home on every Monday in the whole of Biafra land, precisely South East Nigeria until he’s released unconditionally.

It was gathered that Mr. Nwoke Chinedu Moses born in April 23, 1994 who hails from Inyi Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State was among those members of IPOB who enforces the said sit-at-home order and their modus operandi is by burning cars and shops and destroying of properties of those who refused to obey the said order.

It was reported that on Monday February 12th, 2024, while enforcing the sit-at-home order, Mr. Nwoke Chinedu Moses and his group were confronted by that Nigerian Police/military and in the process killed three(3) members of this proscribed group.

However, Mr. Nwoke Chinedu Moses escaped alongside other members which include Ugwu Anthony (aged 32), Okoh Chikwado( aged 40), Ugwuoke Ikechukwu (aged 33) and others at large.

On this note, the Federal Government through the Nigerian Police now declared them wanted and have asked the general public to contact the Nigerian Police Force/ Army once they have any useful information as to the whereabout of Mr. Nwoke Chinedu Moses and 13 others.

Speaking to our correspondent, the mother of Mr. Nwoke Chinedu Moses, Mrs Oluchi Nwoke has cried out begging the Federal Government and the Nigerian Police to leave her beloved son alone as she relies heavily on him for her upkeep.
