Wike deserves credit on Apo–Karshi road progress–Adeyanju

Rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has acknowledged what he described as significant and commendable progress on the Apo–Karshi Road project, saying the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, deserves credit for the pace of work currently ongoing on the road.

Adeyanju, who has been a consistent critic of the minister, said the level and speed of construction now visible on the Apo–Karshi axis stand out, especially when compared with years of slow movement on the project.

He noted that the road had remained under construction for a long time with little to show before the recent acceleration.

According to him, the current pace of work is clear to residents and road users, adding that the renewed activity marks a noticeable shift from previous efforts on the project.

Adeyanju stressed that the progress deserves open acknowledgment regardless of political differences.

The activist maintained that public officials should be commended when they perform, insisting that fairness requires giving credit where it is due.

“Even as a consistent critic of Nyesom Wike the FCT Minister, I must sincerely commend him for the remarkable speed and level of work currently ongoing on the Apo–Karshi Road.

“That road has been under construction for years with little progress, and the pace of work now is both visible and commendable. Credit should be given where it is due.” Adeyanju said.
