Why Sonaira Business World is supporting widows on Independence Day – CEO

Founder and chief executive officer of Sonaira Business World, Sonia Omon Obehi Ovuehor has explained why she did not hesitate to take on the responsibility of being the sponsor of the Widow Tour Lagos outreach organised by Miss Mainland Africa beauty queen.
“I am highly committed to women’s cause and this outreach is an opportunity for further contribution in that direction,” she said.
The event which will be staged at the Christ Embassy Mainland Church on October 1, 2021, seeks to provide succour for 500 widows who will benefit in a variety of ways including gifts of foodstuff such as bags of rice, oil and spaghetti among others.
Ovuehor, who founded Sonaira Business World in 2015, showered encomium on Miss Mainland for coming up with an initiative that supports vulnerable and underprivileged women. “As an initiative of a beauty queen, it is a laudable project that should be emulated by other beauty queens in future,” she stated.
The Sonaira Business World CEO who is one of the past awardees and an alumna of Mainland TV Fashion Show and Award is recognised as one of Nigeria’s business icons, who combine philanthropy with entrepreneurship.
The fruit of her entrepreneurship, Sonaira Business World is an ever-expanding enterprise that is into children and adult fashion, formulation, bulk and retail supply of natural skincare products, importation and supply of human hair and sales of pleasure toys.
And in the past few years, Sonaira Business World has expanded and strengthened its operations in areas such as real estate marketing and logistics.
