The Vehicles Inspection Office (VIO) department, Kebbi state under the leadership of the State Director, Roads Traffic, Lawal Hamisu Gulma has said that the unit through series of operations on motorist and vehicles was able to get at least 400 convictions from both mobile and conventional courts in Kebbi state.
Gulma added that the cases are roads traffic offences, part of which are route violation known as one way that over time claimed many lives through avoided accidents.
Part of the operations include taking off the roads, vehicles that are not road worthy in order to ensure the safety of the people plying the roads.
“We will sustain the tempo until all vehicles and motorists learn to respect the traffic rules and regulations,” Gulma has said.
