The Progressives Governor’s Forum, (PGF) umbrella of Governors, elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has expressed its readiness for any elections in the country.

Making this known in Abuja after its meeting at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge, Chairman of the forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma told journalists that; “Our party is prepared to go into any election anytime.”

The first meeting of the PGF is holding exactly two weeks, after the death of the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who was Chairman of the South-west and the Southern Governors Forum.

The PGF under Uzodinma has neither paid a condolence visit nor honoured family of the late Akeredolu, through a condolence letter, like the South-west Governors Forum.

Uzodimma said: “This is our first meeting since the beginning of this year and it has given us the opportunity to review what is going on in the country and also agree on how best to continue, supporting our government and party with a view to maximazing the benefits of current policies of our administration.

“The forum is united in supporting the APC administration ably led by our able President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“We will continue to support him, we will take his policies to the grassroots and as sub-national leaders of our great party, ensure that our people come on the same page with thinking of the government whose primary objective is to secure the country and provide adequate welfare to the good people of our dear country.”

On the allegation of missing money rocking Federal Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation, the Governor said: “The only perfect being we have observed and noticed is Almighty God. The functions of goverment includes encouraging good things and good appointees and discouraging bad things and bad appointees.

“What you just said, its just an allegation and in the wisdom of President Tinubu, it is being investigated, it’s after the investigations, and the report made available to the government, that it will take final decision. So don’t be in a hurry and don’t allow any sickness like anxiety, catch up with anyone,” he added.
