Wanted bisexual man hospitalized after gunshots attack

A bisexual man identified as Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell has reportedly been hospitalized after he was shot by unknown gunmen in front of his apartment in Benin City.

According to an eyewitness account in the neigbhourhood, a car which was spotted parked nearby in the community, all of sudden moved slowly closer to the building where Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell lived as he immediately stepped out of his apartment.

His assailants, it was gathered, immediately shot at him twice in his stomach as he slumped instantly to the ground and immediately taken to a hospital for urgent medical attention

It will be recalled that Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell was ostracized by his family members when his sexual orientation towards his gender landed him into trouble after he was caught with another male student in school .

The rather unfortunate incident attracted a mammoth crowd of students and security personnel within the hostel of the school who unleased their anger as it said that Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell was able to escape from the crowd while his partner in the secret bisexual affair was mobbed to death as he could not survive the violent attack.

His family, following the unfolding incident which exposed his sexual preference for his gender, ostracized him for taking a wrong path in life which was further compounded as he had been declared wanted by the police and other security agencies in the state over the death of his partner.

However, several unconfirmed reports claimed the family of his murdered partner had vowed to also make life a living hell by making him pay with his life,

Meanwhile as medical personnel battle to save his life from the gun shots wounds, there are clear indications that his condition will deteriorate futher as he was said to have lost so much blood during the attack.

According to one of the medical personnel, he would be required to spend at least over a month at the hospital to fully recover if he survives as it was also difficult communicating with his relatives who have refused to visit him at the health facility after the gun attack.

Report in his community claimed Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell, who is wanted by family of his murdered partner for homosexual and the police, was unable to return to his former community as certain individuals including vigilantes have been told to apprehend him immediately he is spotted around in the community.

Meanwhile, a statement released by the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police stated that anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the fleeing Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell should quickly report to any nearby police station .

The statement further added that Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell was earlier arrested by the Edo state Command of the Nigerian Police but was however released after some months because there was no evidence to prosecute him.

However, following the completion of investigation into his case, the police found out that Obaretin Orobosa Maxwell must face charges bothering on the violation of the Same-sex Prohibition act as he has been declared wanted by the police.
