WAEC to partner FCTA in exam process digitisation

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has solicited the support of the FCT Administration for a Zonal Centre for its electronic marking technology (e-marking) for some West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) papers.

The Registrar of the Council, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, made this appeal on Friday, when he paid a courtesy call on the FCT Minister.

According to the Registrar, WAEC is working towards migrating into full digital administration of its examinations in keeping with global standards.

Dr. Uwadiae stated that the Council aspires “for a hitch-free impeccable world class service through the deployment of cutting edge technology to the doorsteps of all stakeholders in education which involves the decentralisation of the councils operations and activities.”
