Wabote makes case for local content
The Executive secretary, Nigeria Content Development management board (NCDB), Simbi Wabote, has said that his leadership is poised to ensuring that the Nigeria oil and gas industry, achieves its optimal need, more especially ensure the existence of modular refineries.
Wabote, stated this Monday, while delivering his opening speech at the ongoing Nigeria oil and Gas conference in Abuja.
According to Mr. Wabote, NCDB has just signed the Shareholders Agreement for 30% equity participation in a 5,000bpd modular refinery. More of such interventions are in the pipeline.
He said, “We are fully keyed into the Petroleum Industry Roadmap under Strategy No.9. We are actively working on various aspects of the ‘7 Big Wins’ such as capacity building with many training man-hours achieved since last year. We are working on the promotion of domestic utilisation of LPG and the establishment of modular refineries”.
