Be vigilante and faithful at all times, Abia APC warns women

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress in the State, Abia APC has counseled women to be vigilant at all times and stand on the path of truth, insisting that it is only God that will determine the fate of APC in Abia.
Addressing APC women executive committee members from the 17 L.G.A of Abia State at the party’s Secretariat in Umuahia during an empowerment programme initiated by the Party and APC Southeast Zonal Woman leader last weekend,
Rev. Sally William Chinebu, Chairman of the party in the state Hon. Nwankpa, pointed out that he has sacrificed a lot for the party and as such, there is no way he will be sidelined by someone with ulterior motive, stating “I cannot work and someone will come and chase me away from reaping from my labour”.
He made it clear that the Abia APC as at now remains a strong opposition party in the state and in the country at large, pointing out, “If there is no opposition in the State, the PDP will not be so desperate to create confusion in the APC. Our rally really destabilized them. If there is no opposition, then why is the frustration?”
On President Muhammadu Buhari’s style of administration especially as it regards to the party affairs, Hon. Nwankpa described Buhari, as a highly disciplined leader, pointing out that Mr. President’s focus was to separate the party from governance so that the party will be more focused on its activities.
He moreover commended the efforts of Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, former APC governorship candidate in the state, Chinenye Anyim Nyerere, and former House of Representatives member, Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka for their contributions towards lifting the party from where it was before others joined the party to continue from where they were so far.
Speaking on the skirmishing maneuver which took place at the party Secretariat, which also resulted in the arrest of two young men, Hon. Nwankpa said he has ordered that the young men be released, arguing that no nuclear family exist without internal wrangling, let alone the State APC, which he said is like an extended family.
Hon. Nwankpa called on the factional group to be bold enough to come out for the party’s forthcoming congress, while assuring the women that most of them who has done well will be returned during the Congress.
On the empowerment programme, the Abia APC boss lauded the vision of the Southeast Zonal Woman Leader, Barr. Sally Chinebu, pointing out that the gesture has succeeded in putting smiles on the faces of female party members and Abians in general.
Nwankpa who announced that the party has adopted Rev. Barr Sally William Chinebu as its consensus candidate for the forthcoming congress, described the Southeast Zonal Woman Leader as the most proactive APC zonal woman leader across the federation.
Interacting with newsmen, the APC zonal woman leader, Rev. Sally William Chinebu advised people of the Southeast to vote for President Buhari come 2019 election, positing that the President is the only one that can actualize the Presidential aspiration of the Igbo nation.
