Victoria Nest Communities Celebrate Unity, Progress at Inaugural Award Night

The communities of Legacy Estate, Victoria Nest 1, and Victoria Nest 11, located in the highly sought-after Lekki corridor of Lagos, marked a major milestone with their first-ever joint End-of-Year Party and Award Night.

The event, held on November 30, 2025, brought residents and homeowners together under the theme, “Celebrating Progress, Unity and the Spirit of Christmas,” highlighting the estates’ collective achievements and strengthened community bonds.

The evening served not only as a festive close to the year but also as a platform to honour the leadership and residents whose dedication contributed to the estates’ growth and development throughout 2025.

Delivering the opening remarks, Mr Abayomi Adeyeri, Chairman of the Victoria Nest Estate Association, reflected on the hard work and principles that underpinned the community’s successes.

“None of these achievements came easily,” Adeyeri said. “We succeeded because of teamwork, accountability, and service. I was privileged to lead a vibrant executive committee whose energy and ideas have propelled our estates forward.”

He highlighted the establishment of key subcommittees, including Generator Monitoring, Diesel Consumption Monitoring, and Security Oversight, as instrumental in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and effective resource management, creating a blueprint for future community leadership.

Adeyeri also recognised the contributions of his Executive Committee members: Mr Chukwudebe Mba, Vice Chairman and Victoria Nest I Chairman, for fairness and dependability; Dr Tayo Magbagbeola for his analytical depth and support; Madam Jolomi Atimomo for her balanced and nurturing approach; Barr. Omoefe Siakpere for legal guidance; Mr Toks Oshinuel for resourcefulness; and Dr Helen Osonowo for providing consistent counsel.

“To each of you, I say a heartfelt thank you. Your cooperation has made leadership a joy,” Adeyeri concluded, also acknowledging the Party Organising Committee, led by Barr. Omoefe Siakpere.

The Guest of Honour, Mr Joseph Akhigbe, Senior Partner at Joe Akhigbe & Associates, reinforced the importance of community spirit. He urged residents to collaborate with estate management, engage with neighbours, and participate actively in community initiatives, emphasising that social cohesion drives development and shared prosperity.

Barrister Omoefe Siakpere, Chairperson of the Planning Committee, explained that the party was designed to foster social bonds. “The rationale behind the event is to merry and network in the spirit of Christmas,” she said, adding that the gathering was also a celebration of divine grace for reaching the year’s end.

The celebration featured a range of activities for all ages, including children’s play areas, raffle draws, and music, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Residents danced and socialised, visibly enjoying the sense of unity and camaraderie.

The inaugural joint celebration set a high benchmark for future events, affirming the commitment of Legacy Estate, Victoria Nest 1, and Victoria Nest 11 to shared progress, accountability, and strong community ties in the Lekki axis.
