The Management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has appointed a new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Theophilus Omololu Soyombo.
Recall that Daily Times reported the removal of Professor Toyin Ogundipe over allegations of corruption. Ogundipe was sacked by the University’s governing council in Abuja on Wednesday.

Reacting to his removal, Ogundipe issued a statement on Wednesday that he remains the Vice Chancellor of UNILAG.
The governing council urged the public to disregard the claim by Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe that he remains the substantive Vice Chancellor of UNILAG.
